10 Years Ago: I was a Senior in High School at Rock Springs High in Wyoming. I was still getting over the fact that my parents moved us there, right before my senior year, from Utah.
5 Years Ago: I was on my mission. I was in my last area -Kensington, Maryland, and so the DC temple and surrounding houses was my area. My last few months were amazing. I miss it.
5 Months Ago: I was living in Vernal with the Powell family (some of our good friends) while Bart worked on an appraisal apprenticeship.
5 Things on my To Do list today: Laundry, Bathing kids, Dishes, packing to leave tomorrow morning for our trip to SLC , playing with my kids... (not in any set order).
5 Snacks I enjoy:Ice Cream, Strawberries, Candy (most kinds), Doughnuts, Chips with Queso.
5 Things I would do if I were suddenly a billionaire:Pay off Condo and school loans, Invest, Make some charitable donations to both people and organizations, Buy a new wardrobe, Buy a bigger House with a HUGE garage for Bart and all his stuff:).
5 of my Bad Habits: Whispering too loudly so that others hear, procrastinating, picking zits (gross I know), interrupting in conversations, worrying to an excess.

1.My minor at BYU was Modern Dance.
2. I used to get called "Lori 'Green Pepper' Osmond" by my family because I loved them so much when I was younger.
3. My first time going to Disneyland was a year after I got married at age 25.
4. I can stick out my scapula bones really far and crawl around to look like a tiger.
5. I can still do the splits;)

Beautiful Max

I just took this picture like two minutes ago. I was on the internet, I looked down at him, and I had to take a picture because he is so adorable. Max is sooo sweet. I love holding and cuddling him. He fills my heart with contentment.

Caleb's New Phase...

Caleb is definitely growing up. He is challenging everything we say now, and trying our patience with his constant "No's". He is pretty hilarious at times, too. He mostly speaks in full sentences now. He is obsessed with birthday parties and every morning asks me if he can have one. I try to tell him that he has to wait for his birthday in one month, but he doesn't get it. I can't believe he is already turning 2. He has brought so much joy into our lives!

Here he is trying to be a baby again. He knows he is not allowed in the swing, but it hasn't stopped him yet.
He likes to "play" with my hair... in other words pull my hair.
I just love that little face. He brightens up each day with his smile and sparkley eyes.

Baby Animal Days

We had so much fun last Saturday at the American West Heritage Center with the Mata family. The kids loved seeing all the animals, and it was such nice weather. Bart and Caleb even got a little sunburn on each of their faces!

I have been meaning to post some of these pics for a while. They are all of my kids, which is my purpose in blogging;) I love them a lot. They make my life so happy!

Max has been pretty adorable lately. I love him in this outfit. Thanks, Matas and Younts!

This picture was so hard to get. Yes, I dressed them the same for one day. I thought it was cute, but I don't plan on doing it too often. Caleb was mildly amused, but wouldn't cooperate for a pic.

Here is Caleb "swimming". He thinks that he is swimming when he puts his belly in the water like this. He is so cute when he plays in the tub!

Here Caleb was put down for his nap in just his diaper and when Bart checked on him, he found him lying like this. Luckily, no accidents, but we thought it was pretty funny.

The weather has been so nice lately! I finally got to go for a walk this morning with Caleb and Max together for the first time. It was pretty fun. Max fit into the double stroller nicely, for still being so young, so I was pretty happy because now I can get out more.

Growing up already!

Here are a couple of the latest of Max. He is starting to sleep at better times now, which has been pretty nice. He is a really good baby. Still fussy, with the reflux, but it could be much worse. I like the top picture because he looks like he is in his boxing stance. He is growing so fast. He seems so big to me and he is only 1 month old. The top outfit is a 3-6 month. Crazy huh.

"My Boys" II

So I bribed Caleb with a marshmallow to sit by Max long enough to take these. None of them really worked out the way I wanted, but they are pretty cute still. I love the last one -- yeah, it is a little sad with Max, but that is what makes it so cute... and how Caleb is looking at him.

April Fools Day

In honor of April Fools Day, I thought I would share a story: Once upon a time, there was a newly married couple named Bart and Lori. One morning, Bart was taking a shower while Lori was making some breakfast. All of the sudden, Lori heard a loud boom/bang coming from the bathroom. She paused and called, "Bart are you okay?" and didn't receive a response. She opened the bathroom door, repeated the question, and still no answer. Then she opened the shower curtain, and to her dismay, her husband was lying still in the tub. She panicked and cradled his neck, "Bart? Bart!"He didn't move...She started tearing up, and wondered what to do. Then, Bart opened his eyes and yelled, "April Fools!". At that, Lori smacked his face as hard as she could and ran out of the room.
And this is why, to this day, Lori never trusts a word Bart says on April Fools.

He was mean, huh.... I eventually forgave him, but he has never tricked me on April Fools since then and he better not do it again;).

I looked up April Fools on wikipedia and here are some famous pranks I thought I would share. The best part of it all is that lots of people believed this stuff :)

Space Shuttle Landing (2008) Real Radio (100-101fm) anounced on its breakfast show that an American Space Shuttle called 'Endeavour' was diverted to Cumbernauld airport! It has just returned from a 16 day mission to the International Space Station to attach a 50ft inspection pole when it had a few problems and the only airport that could accept the aircraft was Cumbernauld! Hundreds of people headed for Cumbernauld to try and get a look at the shuttle for re-entry.[2]

Alabama Changes the Value of Pi: The April 1998 newsletter of New Mexicans for Science and Reason contained an article written by physicist Mark Boslough claiming that the Alabama Legislature had voted to change the value of the mathematical constant pi to the "Biblical value" of 3.0. This claim originally appeared as a news story in the 1961 science fiction novel Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein.[3]

Spaghetti trees: The BBC television programme Panorama ran a famous hoax in 1957, showing the Swiss harvesting spaghetti from trees. They had claimed that the despised pest the spaghetti weevil had been eradicated. A large number of people contacted the BBC wanting to know how to cultivate their own spaghetti trees. It was in fact filmed in St Albans.[4]

Left Handed Whoppers: In 1998, Burger King ran an ad in USA Today, saying that people could get a Whopper for left-handed people whose condiments were designed to drip out of the right side.[5] Not only did customers order the new burgers, but some specifically requested the "old", right-handed burger.[6]

Taco Liberty Bell: In 1996, Taco Bell took out a full-page advertisement in The New York Times announcing that they had purchased the Liberty Bell to "reduce the country's debt" and renamed it the "Taco Liberty Bell." When asked about the sale, White House press secretary Mike McCurry replied tongue-in-cheek that the Lincoln Memorial had also been sold and would henceforth be known as the Ford Lincoln Mercury Memorial.[7]

San Serriffe: The Guardian printed a supplement in 1977 praising this fictional resort, its two main islands (Upper Caisse and Lower Caisse), its capital (Bodoni), and its leader (General Pica). Intrigued readers were later disappointed to learn that San Serriffe (sans serif) did not exist except as references to typeface terminology. (This comes from a Jorge Luis Borges story.)[8]

Metric time: Repeated several times in various countries, this hoax involves claiming that the time system will be changed to one in which units of time are based on powers of 10.[9]

Smell-o-vision: In 1965, the BBC purported to conduct a trial of a new technology allowing the transmission of odor over the airwaves to all viewers. Many viewers reportedly contacted the BBC to report the trial's success. This hoax was also conducted by the Seven Network in Australia in 2005.[10] In 2007, the BBC website repeated an online version of the hoax.[11]
'Movie Guru's Gotcha" Starting in 1992 movie companies began to hold back all movies that came out on April Fool's day. Due to the fact that April Fool's in not always on Tuesday this has only occurred twice.[citation needed]

Tower of Pisa: The Dutch television news reported once in the 1950s that the Tower of Pisa had fallen over. Many shocked people contacted the station.[12]

Write Only Memory: Signetics advertised Write Only Memory IC databooks in 1972 through the late 1970s.[13]

The Canadian news site bourque.org announced in 2002 that Finance Minister Paul Martin had resigned "in order to breed prize Charolais cattle and handsome Fawn Runner ducks."[14]

Annual BMW Innovations see a new "cutting-edge invention" by BMW advertised across British newspapers every year, examples including:
Warning against counterfeit BMWs: the blue and white parts of the logo were reversed
The "Toot and Calm Horn" (after Tutankhamun), which calms rather than aggravates other drivers, so reducing the risk of road rage,
MINI cars being used in upcoming space missions to Mars,
IDS ("Insect Deflector Screen") Technology - using elastic solutions to bounce insects off the windscreen as you drive,
SHEF ("Satellite Hypersensitive Electromagnetic Foodration") Technology, which sees the car's GPS systems synchronise with home appliances to perfectly cook a meal for the instant you return home,
Marque-Wiper - mini-wipers for each exterior "BMW" logo coming as standard on all future models,
"Uninventing the wheel" to counter the "EU ban" on right-hand drive cars,
Zoom Impression Pixels ("ZIP") to counter new "Slow Cameras" and,
"BMW Instant Messaging" - using Reactive User Sound Electronic (RUSE) particles to display the driver's words to the car in front on the windscreen.
A compact disc available to all BMW owners, which when played over the audio system performed minor service and diagnostic checks; when flipped over it played soothing classical music (Australia). "
