New Baby News:

So apparently, I am destined to have big babies. If you see me now, you wouldn't think I was overly large for a 9 month pregnant woman. (I'm not quite 38 weeks yet, and 40 weeks is full term for pregnancies. Also, they say the baby gains a pound a week the last few weeks or so.) My doctor says I measure normal everytime.
Well, today was our ultrasound to scan the baby's growth and it turns out he is already 9 lbs! Yeah. Can you imagine if he went two more weeks? So we are definitely going to have the baby this week. My doc says she will call me to let me know, but it will probably still be on the 5th. The news is somewhat of a relief, though, because I really feel ready and the thought of another 2 weeks is maddening. I guess we'll keep you posted. We feel so blessed to have another little one, and we can't wait to meet Max!

My Tired Little Boy

So here is Caleb, who I know was very hungry, sleeping over dinner. We had him sit in his highchair for a few minutes while we finished getting the food and then when he got it, he took a couple of bites and was nodding off while he was chewing. Poor little guy! He was playing with his cousin, Malia - whom he now calls "Meeya," and I let him skip his nap because I knew it would be difficult for him to want to lay down with a friend over. Guess we learned our lessons. It was pretty cute, and Bart and I had a nice quiet dinner together:)

Cute Cubby...

I love these pics of Caleb. On the top one, he was trying to put on his "Mr. Potato head" glasses. He thinks they are for him too:)

Pals...

We had fun watching Caleb and his cousin, Alema, play together this last weekend. The boys were born only three days apart and they are adorable together. I hope their friendship continues to sprout. These two share in their love for choo-choos, cookies, balls, and Papa. They sure have a wonderful Grandpa, and we are lucky that he is so awesome at playing with his grandkids.

Some Good News...

So today I went to my 34 week appointment and things are all going well. My due date is not until March 15th, but in talking with my Doctor, she said she would like to schedule me to be induced on March 5th - knowing my past history with such a large baby. We will get our baby 10 days early... hooray! This is tentative, of course, so the date could change. Still, I am so glad to plan for the date and also to be assured that the doctor who has been seeing me throughout my pregnancy will actually be the one who delivers my baby instead of someone I've never met. (That happened to me with Caleb and I didn't really care for the new one.)
Anyway, the baby has stayed very active and his heartbeat is always strong so we are so thankful and excited for our new little addition-- in 1 month from today. :)

Cub and his Daddy....

Bart and Caleb are best buddies. I am so amazed how much Caleb loves to play with Bart. I definitley notice how his whole energy changes when his daddy comes home. Caleb immediately runs to him and asks,"Play choo-choo Dadda?" over and over until Bart caves in. It is so sweet to see them together. I acutally feel a surge of love for both of them when I watch them play. I have to say that Bart is a great dad, and I am proud of him.
