Cubby's Birthday...

We had a Birthday party for Caleb yesterday (we will post the pics tomorrow).  Today is Caleb's actual birthday-and he got to go with Daddy for the afternoon.  Daddy even let him stay in his Thomas Choo-Choo jamies all day!  We headed up to the new house to check on the sprinklers, but got side tracked.  Lee's Marketplace was doing a BBQ with some activities.  We shot basketball and won a water bottle and some fruit roll-up.  Caleb got to go down the slide as many times as he wanted.  He loved it!  On the way home he left his window down and smiled at his new lion friend (Squirt) as the wind blew its mane.  He is pretty attached.  More pics to come soon.

Happy Birthday, Cub!

The following post I wrote on Caleb's B-day (May 15th). I was waiting to post some pics from his party, but unfortunately, we lost the camera....
Well, here is the post anyway, with some other good pics in it.

4 years today! This boy is so awesome. We are so thankful to have him in our family. Here are some of my favorite things about my Caleb:
He is smart, thoughtful, funny, and full of life. He loves to draw and wants to be an artist. He also wants to be a fireman. He loves chocolate, riding his bike, and playing with friends. His favorite animal is a LION and he has a collection of them already. He also loves robots and can dance the robot with the best of them. He actually cried when he watched the movie "Iron Giant" because the robot sacrificed himself for the little boy at the end. This made me cry too.
He is a pretty social kid and talks to everyone (but he gets shy too). Cubby is a great big brother, and the best son to his Mommy. He helps me fold the clothes, match the socks, do the dishes, and clean his room, and he does an awesome job, mostly by himself, with each of these already.
The other day he got a treat from soccor. Max was crying because he didn't get one, and Caleb freely gave his brother his special treat. He is a sweet kid and tries to help people when they're down.
Whenever Caleb plays soccor, I see him in his church class, or is in a crowd, he makes sure to find his mom and gives me his trademark wink and thumbs up. I LOVE that he does this :)
I don't want him to grow up so fast :(

FYI

Just wanted everyone to know that if they look at the slideshow Bart put up of our new home, that Bart, mostly alone, did tons of the work on it. He is an amazing worker and very talented. He did the tile with our friend Travis, trimmed windows, doors, and baseboard, painted, hung cabinets and doors, and did tons of the little finishing touches. We were blessed to have some help by a few good friends and family members... (Thanks again). I am grateful for Bart and how hard he worked to give us a nice place to live.

Happy Mother's Day Mommy!

 Wonderful Mother
God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He moulded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me!

Love your boys- Caleb & Max

Lowes Project Day...

Caleb, Max and I building a small school house. Caleb loves his goggles. Sometimes he wears them for fun- in the house and out in public- he is great!
